What is FortuneMoa

FortuneMoa is a free collection of fortune tools that anyone can use right in the browser with no sign-up or install. From saju (Four Pillars) based on your birth date, the 12-animal Chinese zodiac forecast, and the daily horoscope, to compatibility by zodiac animal, MBTI, and name — we've gathered light, everyday fortune content in one place.

Our principles

• Accurate calculation — The stem-branch (heavenly stems and earthly branches) and the sexagenary cycle of saju are computed precisely with standard formulas and the Julian Day Number (JDN). Example: 2000 = Gyeongjin year, 2000-01-01 = Muo day.
• Transparent methods — Each tool discloses its calculation method and criteria. Where there are limits, such as the month pillar approximation that does not apply solar terms, we say so clearly.
• For entertainment only — The readings and scores for saju, fortune, and compatibility are content for fun, with a notice on every page that there is no scientific or statistical basis.
• No data collected — The birth date and name you enter are never sent to or stored on a server; they are used only in your browser for the calculation.

How the calculations work

The saju 8 characters are computed as follows. The year pillar uses stem[(year−4)%10] and branch[(year−4)%12]; the day pillar uses the sexagenary cycle based on (JDN+49)%60; the hour pillar uses the day master and the hour branch (five-rat method); the month pillar is a simplified, for-fun method that approximates the solar month to a month branch. Lunar conversion uses a built-in 2024–2035 KASI-based lookup table for reference. Zodiac compatibility uses the trine, six-harmony, and clash relationships; MBTI compatibility compares the four axes; name compatibility uses Korean Hangul letter stroke counts.

A note on accuracy

FortuneMoa's calculations themselves — the stem-branch, the Five Elements, the star sign — are formula-based values, but the fortune readings and compatibility scores attached to them are all for entertainment only. Please make important life decisions about career, marriage, investment, or health based on sufficient information and expert help, not on fortunes.
